Who we are
StackRent ("we", "us") is a product operated by its founders, Kiss Dániel and Fábián Álmos, private individuals based in Hungary, who act as joint data controllers for the personal data you share with us. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, reach us any time through our contact page below.
What data we collect
When you join our waitlist, we collect the following information to manage your request and communicate with you about our services.
Email Address
Number of property units
When you contact us
If you send us a message through our contact form, we process your name, email address, and the contents of your message solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep this correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your request.
Legal basis
We process this data on the basis of your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect any processing carried out before withdrawal.
How we use your data
Your information is used solely to manage the waitlist, communicate service and launch updates, and improve our offering. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-party services
We share your data only with the providers that help us operate, and only as far as necessary. Each acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.
Oracle Cloud (hosting & database)
Mailgun (email delivery)
Vercel (website & analytics)
International data transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Data retention
We keep your waitlist data until we launch and you create an account, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us through our contact page and we will respond within the legally required timeframe.
Right to complain
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above always reflects the most recent version. If StackRent is incorporated as a company, the role of data controller will transfer to that company; we will update this policy and notify you by email before the change takes effect.
